Through a partnership with NetLine, Viigo is providing its user community the ability to identify and request a compelling array of industry specific content, including a wide range of magazines, whitepapers and trade publications, for free.

Industry publications and resources from leading organizations like BusinessWeek, Website Magazine, Microsoft, Oracle, SAP and many more are available to all Viigo users from within the Business & Finance module’s channel library.

Adding a feed is easy and can be done in three steps.

First, enter the Business and Finance module and select Add Channel.

Second, choose the Free Trade Publications and Resources folder from the library.

Third, select the feeds/topics of interest and then look through them periodically for compelling content.

Viigo is thrilled to announce that we have integrated a full Twitter client into our latest release.

Located in the folder “Social Networks” you will find support, not only for adding multiple Twitter accounts, but also for adding a number of other social networks including Jaiku and Identi.ca.

Add this to the ability to Tweet an article from Viigo with a single click, and you have the one app to help you stay connected!

A reminder that the latest version of Viigo is available immediately from BlackBerry App World, via OTA from http://GetViigo.com or from any of our partner download sites (e.g. http://GetViigo.com/CrackBerry, httpGetViigo.com/BBCool, http://GetViigo.com/BerryReview, http://GetViigo.com/BBGeeks, etc.).

Note: if you are changing to or from the App World version of Viigo for the first time, please delete your current version of Viigo first before downloading or installing.

You can now do all of this from the palm of your hand with Viigo, thanks to our relationship with the groundbreaking PageOnce service.

Within the Business and Finance Service, you will see a new folder called “My Accounts“

Due to the sensitivity of the information available in the “My Accounts” service, you are required to enter your credentials every time you use the service.

Here are some examples of the types of information you can access with the My Accounts Service (obviously a fictitious account):

Although the My Accounts service costs $9.99 a year, we’ll let you evaluate the service for free via by allowing you to set up a fully functioning trial account, right from inside Viigo. Once you have your trial account, head over to the PageOnce site to start configuring your account. It takes a few seconds … You can find this at http://www.PageOnce.com.

Viigo now allows you to stay on top of the hottest deals in consumer electronics!

Those of you running the latest version of Viigo will have noticed a new folder called “Deals”.

Thanks to our partnership with Gazaro, you can now subscribe to live feeds of the hottest deals across a wide range of consumer electronics. Alternately, you can choose to subscribe directly to feeds from your favorite stores, including Wal-mart, Amazon, BestBuy, etc.

Opening the Deals folder and clicking on “Add Channel” gets you a diverse list of Deal Channels …

Once you have selected all the deals you are interested in, they appear in your deals folder.

The deal page also includes a very useful price trend graph which helps you make instant and informed buying decisions.

If you want to purchase the item (before the deal expires!) you can do so right within Viigo …. click “Buy Now” and we’ll take you to the Vendor’s purchase page!

This is the first in a series of posts covering what’s new in the latest version of Viigo … and we thought we’d start with the basics.

Our weather service, which is delivered in partnership with Accuweather, is one of the most popular services within Viigo. Each day, hundreds of thousands of people check the weather on Viigo, and we owe them the best weather experience we can provide.

Earlier versions of Viigo’s weather service suffered from a couple of key issues … (1) for cities with few subscribers, collection times were often long, resulting in the weather being out of date, and (2) for detailed information, we forced you to open a web page (a slow and sometimes arduous process).

We’ve not only improved both of those things, we’ve actually added some important features.

Here’s a look at the new weather screen for a city (in this example New York). You’ll see live current conditions … and a 5 day forecast, including a summary of the expected conditions.

Clicking on the Current conditions, brings you additional details, delivered without the need for you to launch an external browser.

For cities within North America, scrolling down further will get you a live radar image, so you can see what storms might be approaching.

Note: in order to fully take advantage of Weather 2.0, you’ll need to remove your current weather cities and add the new ones, and you’ll need to be running the latest version of Viigo.
